QueerBTown.org and the QueerBTown Fund started as a grassroots dream from LGBTQ+ folks in Bloomington who wanted more connection, support, and visibility in our community. We’re building something that celebrates queer life here—starting with community funding and expanding to highlightling local events and trusted resources.

What we’re building
The QueerBTown project aims to support nonprofits in Bloomington and Monroe County in work that directly serves the LGBTQ+ community and creates new opportunities for connection and belonging among our city’s queer residents.
The QueerBTown Fund is live as of February, 2026. We are actively working to find opportunities to partner with local nonprofits in Bloomington and Monroe County.
